Asam pedas is a traditional sour and spicy gulai commonly found in Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. The dish is typically associated with Malay, Minangkabau, Acehnese and Peranakan cuisines, and is prepared using various types of seafood or freshwater fish.
